Tales From The Past - Havard

A story, or the start of one, taking place 12 years before the start of the main story, featuring Havard, still in his home village, a rock and a woman with leathery wings.

The demo for the Silver Protector was close to reaching 10 k browser plays when I started working on this little story as a thank you for reaching that milestone. I thought it would be about 1k words, and focus on Havard and a rock (an idea from an ask on the Tumblr blog), but then it sort of spiraled out of control. Real life also interfered and I had no time to actually finish the story. 

The demo passed 10 k browser plays... and currently is sitting at about 14 k plays. However, I was about 6.5 k words into this story and it seemed a shame not to finish it. So I started to "finish it". It is not so focused on just the rock now.

The thing is... it got a little out of hand. The current file is about 19 k words long and I think it could be a lot better. So I will probably keep adding things.

Therefore I will divide it into parts! Originally it was planned to be just three scenes about one year apart but I felt it did not work quite that well.

Here is the plan for the first part (about 6.6 k words):

Currently there is a pdf version available on KoFi for supporters right now.

Then in the coming week or two, I will publish the same story as a part of the demo for everybody. I need to implement it fully into Twine and read through it. I will edit the pdf version as well if I do any changes.

For the demo, there will be a new option in the main menu "Tales From The Past"

I hope you enjoy it, even if it is not C3. It was meant to just be a short, little surprise, but I kept just writing it :D  It feels a bit rushed and there could be a lot more... but it would soon be a novel then. 

The other parts I will publish when other milestones are reached. And once I am done writing them, but at least this way I am a bit ahead :D

About C3: Sorry, but it is nowhere near done. It will be probably be a good while, depending on real life events and my ability to focus. November was really busy irl and only a little progress was made.
